Equipment List PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL ITEMS MUST BE CLEARLY NAMED..
1) Please make sure that your son/daughter helps you pack and is aware of what is in
his/her bag.
2) All items should be packed in a kitbag, rucksack, or holdall - NOT a suitcase
3) Boys and girls usually get very dirty at camp. Please do not allow your child to wear
their favourite T shirt or expensive football kit. They will be ruined.
4) This is NOT a 'suggested' list but a list of ESSENTIAL kit. Items marked * are not
essential but 'advised'.
ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING AND SHOES TO BE NAMED
Foam sleeping mat
Sleeping bag and cushion for pillow (not a proper pillow as this takes up too much space)
*Blanket. Remember – May nights can be very chilly!!
Sleepwear: Pyjamas or warm clothes to sleep in.
*A hat can be very welcome at night.!!
Pants and socks.
Waterproof coat (& waterproof trousers if available)
Strong shoes or walking boots if available
Two pairs of shorts and tee-shirts. Shorts must be worn during the day.
At least 2 spare jumpers or sweatshirts. (Fleece jumpers are very light and will keep warm)
Joggers for evening (ABSOLUTELY NOT JEANS)
Towel (A small one will be sufficient)
Small piece of soap, toothpaste, toothbrush (in plastic bag)
Hat (for sun, hopefully!)
Sun Cream (positive thinking!!)
Torch & spare batteries
NOTE: ABSOLUTELY NO POCKET KNIVES PLEASE .
NO MUSIC PLAYERS
NO MOBILE PHONES
NO COMPUTER GAMES
NO MONEY
NO BEADS OR OTHER JEWELLRY
NO SWEETS, BISCUITS, CRISPS, CHOCOLATE
These items will be confiscated during the camp and returned to parents on Sunday afternoon. No responsibility for personal equipment, clothing and effects can be accepted by the Group. The Scout Association does not provide automatic insurance cover in respect of such items.
