General Vendor Information & Rules
1. Booth spaces are available for arts and crafts in 10x10 and 10x20 both inside and outside of the Jimmy Burke Activity Center. Food booths are also available in 10x20 trailer and booth spots, Limited electricity is available at $10 per 20 amps, but you must indicate how much electricity you will need on your application to ensure enough electricity for everyone. Please see application for booth space prices.
2. Booths are assigned on a first come first serve basis, with preference to past exhibitors, until March 15, 2013.
3. Entry deadline is April 5, 2013. No refunds will be made after April 5, 2013.
4. All applications must be accompanied by payment in full to the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce. If applications are not completed in full, the application, photographs and check will be returned to sender.
5. Walking vendors will not be permitted unless authorized by the Chamber.
6. No gag gifts, resale items, garage sale, flea market or junk items will be allowed. All arts and crafts vendors are required to have 75% homemade product. Exhibitors assume responsibility for correctness of products to be displayed and sold. The Chamber will make every effort to assure the 75% rule.
7. Commercial and Community Organizations can be allowed booth space at the discretion of the Chamber.
8. The Chamber reserves the right to remove or adjust layout of any booth or prohibit the sale of items, for any reason they feel necessary.
9. No audio effects will be allowed in booths unless specifically Okayed by the Chamber. The Chamber reserves the right to ask for audio to be turned off once the festival starts if it is interfering with other booths and/or stages, even if prior approval was granted.
10. Sales tax collections are the responsibility of each vendor. Vendor lists are provided to the state.
11. Food Vendors are required to provide their own health permit. The Chamber is not liable for lack of permits.
12. No explosives, explosive devices, bottled products with offensive odors, alcohol, items of a sexual or offensive nature may be used or sold during the event. Items which children can use to throw or squirt others will not be sold by any booth. This rule will be strictly enforced.
13. Official Times: Setup: Friday April 12, 2013 – 12-5 p.m. / Saturday April 13, 2013 – 6-8 a.m.
Festival Time: Saturday, April 13, 2013 – 9 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Move-Out: Saturday, April 13, 2013 – 6:30 p.m-9 p.m. (Early Move out not allowed unless approved by Chamber)
14. No traffic will be permitted reentry into the booth area until after the 6:30 p.m. closing time. If you violate this rule, you will NOT be returning to this event and will be ticketed.
15. Exhibitor vehicles will not be permitted to remain in the booth area. Assistance will be provided to move vehicles
16. Exhibitors must stay within set booth boundaries.
17. Exhibitors are responsible for providing all booth and display materials. The Chamber will provide as much security as possible, but each vendor is responsible for any individual loss or damage of products or materials associated with their display.
18. Exhibitors are requested to decorate for a festive Totally Texas Theme. Colorful aprons, shirts, blouses sweatshirts or other festive wear will enhance the festival atmosphere.
19. Weather policy – The Totally Texas Festival will be in operation regardless of the weather. All vendors at the event do so at the understanding that rain or shine there are NO REFUNDS.
20. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce, the City of Deer Park,
and its employees from any liability, loss, cost or expense (including attorney fees, medical and ambulance cost) that may occur while participating in the event.
