Greetings Parents and Guardians,
Congratulations! Our talented kids are embarking on a musical theatre adventure and we get to join in the fun! The musical this year is Shrek The Musical. Performances will be Friday, March 24 at 7:00, Saturday, March 25 at 2:00 and 7:00, and Sunday, March 26 at 2:00. We know you understand how rewarding and challenging this experience will be for those involved… the cast, musicians, and crew. However, we rely on the generosity of every member of the Penncrest community to make this production a shining success. We already have the enthusiasm of your children, and now we ask for your other valuable assets: time and financial support. There are six ways you can help support the musical:
1. Your time will make a tremendous contribution to the show’s success and absolutely no experience is necessary. Please volunteer to help out and join in the fun!
2. Your financial contributions are also very much needed. There are numerous ways to help. The obvious is to buy as many tickets and attend as many performances as possible. If you purchase your tickets in advance, we can anticipate the size of the audience at each performance. Please help us by completing the advance ticket order form and return it no later than Wednesday, March 22.
3. If you are able, please consider becoming a Patron of the Arts. For a mere donation of $50, $25, or $15, you receive our deepest gratitude as well as an acknowledgement in the program. If you are interested, please complete the attached form and return it by Tuesday, March 14.
4. Speaking of the program, what better way to have your business ad seen than by a captive audience, literally? Please consider placing an advertisement in the program for $75, $50, or $25. Ask businesses you frequent if they might wish to support our school community this way. If you are interested, please complete and return this form with the advertisement by Tuesday, March 14.
5. The most enjoyable ads in the program, for the audience and cast alike, are the Well-Wisher Messages from family and friends. Whether creative, silly, embarrassing, or supportive, they are fun for all! A two-line message is only $5. Make sure to return the completed form no later Tuesday, March 14 to ensure your message makes it into the program.
6. T-shirts of the show are always a popular memento and a fantastic way for your budding thespian to promote the show. The shirts are $20, and the completed form must be returned no later than Thursday, February 9.
With our children’s talent and our combined support, we can’t help but make this year’s production ofShrek The Musical a success!
