REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING

APRIL 2, 2001

CALL TO ORDER

The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of the Greenwich Township Recreation Association was called to order at 7:50 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2001, in the Township’s Municipal Building. The presiding officer was Suzanne Martin-Esposito. The following members were present:

A quorum was not met. Abbreviated meeting. No motions and/or voting took place.

SECRETARY’S REPORT

The minutes for the regular monthly meetings of January 8, 2001 and March 5, 2001 were not distributed. Both will be distributed for approval at the May meeting.

*Easter Egg Hunt

Suzanne Martin-Esposito reported that Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, April 7 at 10:00 a.m. behind the Stewartsville Elementary School. If in the event of rain, the hunt will be held in the gym of the school. The bunny costume was purchased for $289. Bill Brodniak will donate his services to take pictures with the Easter bunny. All film was donated by Shop Rite. Total purchase of the costume, prizes, candy and other supplies was under the original approved motion of $1,000.00.

Kevin Chandlee is working with John Howell from the township. Field mix was ordered and delivered to Stecker Field. John Howell is working on setting up the batting cage at Stecker Field. Debbie Pasquarelli and Kevin are reviewing the field status at Beatty’s Road, Municipal Park and the Church field.

ACTION ITEM: Debbie and Kevin are to look into purchasing benches at the Beatty Road fields.

ACTION ITEM: Kevin to follow up on fencing opening (back stop) at Beatty Road field.

OLD BUSINESS:

Suzanne Martin-Esposito reported on the status of cheerleading. Registration to be held on April 17at the Municipal Building from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Registration is open to all Bloomsbury and Greenwich children (Kindergarten to 8th grade). Fee will be $10.00 per child. The cheerleading clinic will consist of chants, jumps and cheers, meeting for 3 consecutive Fridays beginning May 11 at the Stewartsville Elementary School gym.
