Gibbstown carnival meeting

Discussed: Police. Agreed to 3 at $50 per hour…also talk to township about them giving this to us as they supplied police to St Michaels carnival

Kevin will talk to Jeff Godfrey about the police and the township donating their time.

Port a pots was said that Nicole contacted the company about this considering the port a pots with the hand washing station. Depending on the cost If too expensive look into renting the blue port a pots and a hand washing station

Raffle tickets- nightly tickets

Mega raffle. Talk to Chila about him supplying them

Discussed:

Money for volunteers

Kevin put in for money from Exxon Mobile, possible $2000 or $4000

Walmart grants. $1000 for Woodbury Walmart $1000

Possible $250 per person for 4 hours of volunteer service

Someone needs to get info off Nicole Cope

Jen said the box will be in this week, she will call and get a definite date

Nicole Cope spoke to Chila about buying the mega raffle tickets cost should be aprox $256

Permits…Jen paid $25 for the use of property

We don’t need any other permits the carnival will get the ones they need

Question about needing a permit for the beer garden. Also one police officer for the beer garden. Jr. is supposed to check into that. Do we take a % for the beer garden or flat rate.

What we will have in our booth,

Hotdogs,

Drinks- soda , water

Baked goods – send out emails about people contributing

Shirts – sell the ones we have already and they have samples and order forms for the new ones

Tara will go to check out the products and choose which ones we will commit to for the girls items, still unsure of who will choose the boys.

Wrist bands- will receive a voucher, when the purchaser will bring the voucher to the ticket booth at the carnival and receive the bracelet for that night. Each night will be a different color

We will receive all the proceeds from pre sales. And a % of sales of tickets

50/50 raffles nightly and Mega…

Must be over 18 years old to sell them.

I suggested RJ to go around with the Mega.

Vendors:

Uncle Pigs- what is he going to do, will he be there every night or not. Someone needs to talk to him still.

Are we charging a flat rate or a % or nightly rate? Mike Gerelli will ask other towns and the people from St Michale’s on what they do

Need to decide if we are selling a vendor spot, what do we charge, suggested $500 or $1000

Suggested to contact Little Pizza Heaven– John’s Sea Food – Italian Water Ice – pretzel factory

Suggested we seek other vendors

Registration was discussed, the dates are June 10th, 17th, 24th from 6:00- 8:00

Who will be there and we will have a signup sheet for help for the carnival, also asking for people to contribute to the bake sale

Walt said he will talk to Gina at Paulsboro High School about students needing hours for National Honor Society. We have hours for them to earn.

Clean up after the carnival: Kevin suggested he wants his team to do clean up in the mornings after the carnival. Suggested also for all the teams including the cheer leaders.

Trash- Jen will ask Walmart if they will donate trash cans, also ask the township if they have ones we can use.
