JOB TITLE: Marketing Officer (Inverness Castle Project)

SALARY: £29,429 - £32,214

LOCATION: Inverness

RESPONSIBLE TO: Marketing and Communications Manager

JOB PURPOSE: To develop and support in the delivery of a marketing, public relations and communications plan for the Inverness Castle Hill Project.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

1.  To work with all key partners in the project group to develop and deliver a marketing, public relations and communications plan for the Inverness Castle Hill Project.

2.  To ensure that media protocols are in place and adhered to at all times and to work with project partners to the delivery of agreed internal and external messaging.

3.  To assist with all aspects of public and stakeholder engagement throughout the project such as community consultations, public events etc.

4.  To develop positive working relationship with local, regional and national media in order to maximise the effects of the external messaging.

5.  To assist with the content creation for all marketing, PR, communications, presentations, reports etc. in consultation with the Project Manager.

6.  To identify ways in which Communities around the Highlands can be engage and take ownership of the Inverness Castle Hill project.

7.  To develop and foster new working relationship with other key stakeholders around the Highlands to support in the marketing of the Inverness Castle Hill Project to the wider communities.

8.  To be responsible for and proactive with the online content associated with the Inverness Castle Hill Project.

9.  To be responsible for creating a marketing ‘buzz’ before and throughout the life of the project.

10.  To work with partners to ensure that the Inverness Castle Hill Project marketing appropriately incorporates protocols around the Inverness and Highland City-Region Deal.

11.  To ensure that as well as traditional marketing, the Inverness Castle Hill Project marketing incorporates ‘modern means of marketing’ such as video; virtual and augmented reality and up-to-date social media platforms (where appropriate).

12.  To consider and incorporate the e-commerce opportunities associated with the Inverness Castle Hill Project.

13.  To work with colleagues in other services across High Life Highland to maximise opportunities in terms of the Charity’s wider business objectives.

14.  To ensure that any budget responsibilities associated with the post are appropriately managed.

In order to be able to carry out the duties of this post effectively and safely, candidates will be able to provide evidence of the following:-

1.  EXPERIENCE

·  Worked within an organisation in the line of marketing, communications, media, public relations;

·  Worked within a service/public sector industry e.g. Tourism;

2.  EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

·  Qualifications/experience relevant to working in marketing, PR and communications and experience working in the same environment

·  Qualifications/experience appropriate to web/online development/experience delivering outcomes in the same environment.

·  Full UK/EU Driving licence

3.  SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES GENERAL

·  An output driven approach
