Dear Parents and Dancers,
THANK YOU! Thank You for all your hard work and effort this year. Dancers, the progress by all of you showed. I had several people tell me that the show was awesome. I want to thank the parents as well; you work very hard to get your child to dance class and practices, which means a lot. Thank you also for your patience and understanding! I can truly say that I have blessed with wonderful dance parents. A special huge Thank you, if you were a parent volunteer! It is not easy to keep track of that many students, get their costumes changed and keep them entertained. I could not do this without you! Your help is invaluable and the show ran smoothly all thanks to you. I am already planning next year’s theme so we can all look forward to another exciting year! Just a reminder, you may still order a DVD from this year’s show. The DVD order form is available on www.zumbrotadancestudio.com You may still have it delivered to the studio free of charge. They are a fantastic keepsake and your dancer will watch it multiple times. Please mail it directly to Video Scope with your payment. The information you need for our summer event on June 17th, the Covered Bridge Festival is listed below. The classes listed will be dancing at the Covered Bridge park at 10:00 am so please check the list carefully to see if your dancer’s class is performing. EVERYONE MAY PARTICIPATE IN THE PARADE. We also need several parent volunteers to help walk the route. I will be at the parade but due to my recent knee surgery, I have been told I can’t walk the route but may ride. Summer classes start the week of June 5th for those interested in performance team and for older students who want to keep up with their dance skills. Look for your fall registration form to arrive by mail in August. Once again, thank you for a great year, I hope to see you this summer. Robyn
COVERED BRIDGE PARK PERFORMANCE - INFO - SATURDAY JUNE 17h 10:00 A.M.
The performance will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Covered Bridge Park. Please arrive at the park at 9:45 a.m. so we may have a short rehearsal for those that need it. Students should wear their costume for the performance. (No tights if it is hot.) COVERED BRIDGE PARADE - SATURDAY JUNE 17TH – BASIC INFORMATION
PARADE LINE UP WILL BE AT 5:20 P.M. PLEASE NOTE THE PARADE BEGINS AT 6:00 P.M.!!!
WE WILL MEET AT THE BANK OF ZUMBROTA ON SOUTH MAIN (next to Casey’s) AND WALK TO THE FLOAT. We will be about the 9th unit in the parade. Please meet us in the back of the high school parking lot to pick up your dancer. It is a fast parade so we will be finished and in the back of the school by about 6:40 p.m.

COVERED BRIDGE PARADE - SATURDAY JUNE 17TH
ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT PARADE INFORMATION
Please be sure your dancer has used the bathroom before dropping them off at the beginning of the parade route. Please bring your dance to the Bank of Zumbrota by Casey’s at 5:20 p.m. We will be #9 in the parade. Again, students should wear their recital costume, no tights if it is hot and regular shoes if they are walking. Older students will be walking and handing out stickers and treats. Younger students will ride on the float. (They may walk if they would like, but will be accompanied by an older student.) We will end the parade at the back parking lot of the ZM high school by the storage shed. Since we are in the beginning of the parade please come and get your child as soon as possible so they may join you to watch the rest of the parade, PLEASE PLAN ON PICKING UP YOUR DANCER AT THE BACK OF THE HIGH SCHOOL in the parking lot by the storage shed/garage ABOUT 30 MINUTES AFTER THE PARADE BEGINS. Students will not be allowed to walk to the parent’s location unless the parents have informed Chalsie or Robyn. Please tell your child that they should wait with the float until they are picked up. You will pick your dancer up in the back parking lot of the high school by the storage shed/garage at about 6:40 p.m.. I am looking for a few more parents or older student volunteers to walk the parade, if you are interested please let me know. (Older students do not need to wear their costume, their recital or ZDS t-shirt is fine.)
Lost & Found at the recital: Several items were left at the recital, please stop by on June 5th, 6th, 12th, or 13thbetween 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. to claim your items. These items were found at the school during rehearsals and the shows: Eyeglasses in blue case, phone charger, brown/floral 31 lunch bag, pink dance bag with ballet slippers, blue/white umbrella, sage green water bottle with PINK logo, beige fleece jacket, child XL jean jacket, grey ZDS hoodie, peach 1987 hoodie, child’s black knit pants, black booty shorts, black biketard. All items left at the studio after June 30th will be donated.
2017 Recital DVDs: I have had many inquiries about still being able to order a DVD. YES! You can still order one; you can find the order form on the Zumbrota Dance Studio website or some will be available at the dance studio. Please fill it out and send it along with your payment directly to Video Scope. Your order will still be included in the studio pick up if you prefer that over paying for postage to have it mailed to you.
Cloggers/Irish dancers: Please let me know if you will be available to dance at the Goodhue County Fair this summer. We have been asked to perform on Thursday, August 10th at 6:00 p.m. I want to be sure we have enough dancers to do the performance so please let me know by email at if you are willing to dance.
2017/18 ZDS PERFORMANCE TEAMS: Just a reminder, if you are interested in participating in the Zumbrota Dance Studio performance teams, you will need to take one of the Competition Technique classes this summer so we can place you in the correct group. Classes begin on June 5th and it is not too late to register. Performance Team is open to everyone even if you do not have prior experience. There are several comp tech levels being offered on Mondays and Tuesdays. Information for performance team will be handed out the first and second weeks of summer dance classes. Please contact Robyn if you are interested but are not able to attend classes this summer. Performance team is open to everyone who takes regular classes at the Zumbrota Dance Studio. All current members must take competition tech this summer if you plan on continuing in performance team next year.
