Broomhill Sports Club Player & Parent Charter

At Broomhill Sports Club we expect high standards, both in terms of behaviour and application to your chosen sport. We have decided to lay down some rules and guidelines for athletes to follow; this will ensure that we all know what is expected of us all going forward. There are also other guidelines in the club handbook that can be found on our website. All athletes and parent/guardians will be expected to sign this document and adhere to the rules and guidelines within it:

1.  All Players must attend training sessions. Non-attendance without permission of the coach means not starting in games and repeated failure to attend will mean the loss of your place in the team.

2.  Suspended players must attend all fixtures.

3.  Injured players are also encouraged to support their team mates at games where suitable to do so.

4.  Players will arrive at training and club fixtures in a timely fashion, poor timekeeping disrupts your coach’s preparation. Repeated lateness will result in de-selection for games.

This means you must arrive;

·  10 minutes before the training session starts

·  In the dressing Room or pitch side 30-45 minutes before a 7 aside game.

·  1 Hour before 11 aside games

5.  The dressing room is for players and club officials only.

6.  All Players must wear the correct club clothing when attending training and matches.

·  We don’t accept any alternatives to official Club kit

·  No jewellery at training or games is allowed.

7.  Players must commit to the Club for the whole year; that’s from pre-season training in July until the season’s conclusion in May & June. We expect our players to prioritise playing for BSC before watching or attending professional sporting events, you can play sport or you can watch it.

8.  We support members playing other sports but training and playing for BSC must be a member’s priority.

9.  Athletes will be expected to represent the Club in a manner befitting our reputation. They must show respect and be courteous to match officials and the opposition. This also includes showing respect for coaches, team mates and Club officials.

10.  Parents/Guardians will be expected to refrain from side-line coaching or refereeing at all times.

11.  Parent/Guardians who display improper behaviour at games or to Club administrators will be asked to leave that game, and will face the possibility of suspension/exclusion from the club.
