General

  1. (If not already addressed) Introduce and discuss your audit team.
  1. Please provide us with highlights of your proposal or your approach that you feel are most important for us to know.
  1. Do you have any comments or observations about our 05-06 CAFR?
  1. How many government clients do you have? Do all seek and receive the GFOA Certificate of Achievement?
  1. Will the State reports be completed by your personnel or outsourced?

What reports would the City need to provide you with to complete the State Controller’s and Street Reports? In what format?

  1. Are there flow charts or other special documents you would require as part of the audit?
  1. What percent increase should be assumed for each of the optional 2 years?

  1. Page 4 mentions continual update regarding accounting pronouncements, etc. Could you please elaborate on how this occurs?

Final Question

  1. What is the longest you have been in any one city consecutively? What do you recommend in general as a guideline for rotating auditors?
  1. Our current auditors do an additional 20 hour project each year for us at no charge. Are you willing to offer the same?
