Wheel of PAWS

PioneerMiddle School

The Wheel of PAWS will be located in the Main Office. Two staff members names from each area of the building (A, B, C, D, E, Office) will be placed on the wheel. On a Wheel of PAWS day, one of the administrators will spin the Wheel and choose sixadults that will be Wheel of PAWS staff for that week. The administrator must keep spinning the wheel until one person from each of the six areas of the building is selected.

A positive behavior that has been taught to students with a cool tool or another possible behavior will be identified as the target behavior for that week.

On this day, the Wheel of PAWS theme song will be played on the announcements so that students know that it is a Wheel of PAWS day. They will not know who the target adults are or what the target behavior is for the week.

The adults chosen for the Wheel of PAWS will be notified by one of the office secretaries and be made aware of what the target behavior for the week is. They will be given PAWSitive Paws (see Wheel of PAWS file for Paws) to hand out to students who are displaying the targeted behavior.

Students will then put their name and homeroom on the PAWSitive Paw and deposit it in the PAWS box by the Greeter’s desk for the prize raffle. Prizes will be things from the student rewards survey.
