Sixth Form Entry Criteria 2017
It is expected that students embarking upon level 3 courses will have achieved the minimum entry criteria of at least 5 grades at C (or 4 in English and Maths) at GCSE. Previous experience makes it clear that this is the minimum requirement for success at A level. In addition, individual subjects may have additional requirements as listed below. It is the expectation that where a student has studied a subject at GCSE they will have obtained at least a grade C.

The requirement for this course is 4 grade Ds (Eng/Maths level 3)
English/Maths GCSE
All students who have achieved grade 3 and below, will be required to resit Maths/English Language in order to gain level 4. Indications are that level 4 will be sufficient for entry to university for this year group only. In future, level 5 passes are likely to be the standard for university entry.
Exceptional circumstances.In exceptional circumstances, such as where illness has affected GCSE performance, we may agree to waive the entry requirements for one or more subjects. This will be by individual negotiation with students and parents.
