AHOUSE RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR AARON LEACH, AN ASSOCIATE OWNER OF ROWE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES COMPANY, AND TO CONGRATULATE HIM FOR BEING NAMED THE 20172018 SURVEYOR OF THE YEAR.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to learn that Aaron Leach was honored as the 20172018 Surveyor of the Year by the South Carolina Society of Professional Land Surveyors(SCSPLS); and
Whereas, an associate owner of ROWE Professional Services Company of Myrtle Beach and Michigan, Mr. Leachgraduated from Paul Smith’s College in 1993with an associate’s degree in land surveying and came to the Palmetto State by way of upstate New York; and
Whereas, in 1997, he moved to South Carolina and became a licensed professional land surveyor in the State in 2000, in North Carolina in 2008, and inNew York in 2010; and
Whereas, Mr. Leach has served as a past president for theSCSPLSand is currently an active member of the Grand Strand chapter and serves on the SCSPLS Education Committee and as chairman of the South Carolina TrigStar Committee; and
Whereas, he also serves on the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) Trig-Star Committee. The Trig-Star Program Contest is an annual high school mathematics competition sponsored by NSPS based on the practical application of trigonometry, and the program recognizes the best students from high schools throughout the nation; and
Whereas, Mr. Leach is deeply committed toensuring the next generation is interested in and informed about land surveying as a career, and he regularly speaks to middle and high schoolstudents throughout the year. He also is involved with the Girl Scouts where he assists girls in achieving the Tree Badge; and
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives values the pride and recognition that Aaron Leach has brought to his profession and to the Palmetto State, and the members look to hear of his continued accomplishments in the days ahead. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Aaron Leach, an associate owner of ROWE Professional Services Company, and congratulate him for being named the 20172018 Surveyor of the Year.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented toAaron Leach.
