Yearbooks:Yearbook for sale $20, the forms will be at main office. Please turn your orders in at the main office.

Football:There is time to sign up for football. Please see Mr. White today.

6th Grade students: If you have not turned in your school physical and immunizations to the Health office, please remind your parents this is a requirement for 6th grade and turn into the Health Office ASAP.

Any student who wants to attend the West Aurora football game this Friday must bring their student ID. Middle school students have their own section at the South End of the school, that is the end closest to the high school.Student admission for football games is $3 with an ID. If students do not provide a current school ID they will be charged $5.

Drama: Drama Club Meeting in the Cafetorium, today, Friday September 1st,3:45-5:30pm. All are welcomed and encouraged. Come learn about your 2017-18 theatre season, meet some new friends, play games, and more. Mr. Nick is very excited to kick off the biggest theatre season Herget Middle School has ever seen.

Herget t-shirts will be on sale during lunch periods only from August 29th - September 1st outside of the cafeteria. Please eat your lunch first.

There are now gel pens and mechanical pencils for sale in the pencil machine next to the main office. Cost for each of the machines is $.50 per item.

Student Council: Are you interested in helping to make Herget Middle School and even better school community? Are you interested in helping with food drives, school dances, being an ambassador to incoming 5th graders and much more? Then Student Council is the place for you! Applications will be available September 1-8 outside the main office. Complete the application and return to Mrs. Andrews in room 3104!

Cross Country: The Herget Cross Country team continued their winning ways at their first home meet of the season Tuesday night. The Runnin’ Huskies crushed Jewel and Plank with Megan Sporny setting a new girls’ course record and Ryan Watts setting a new boy’s course record. Top finishers were, Girls: Megan Sporny Meet Champion, Olivia Kunio 2nd, Devon Tomas 3rd, Ella Henry 4th, Jenna Stuck 5th,Makenzy Hobson 6th, Lizzie Gould 9th, Karina Juarez 10th. Boys: Ryan Watts 2nd, Nate Hodge 3rd, Jay Jenkins 4th, Aiden Hobson 6th, Andy Sporny 7th, Brandon Ngosong 8th, Brock Beatus 8th, Aryan 10th. Great job !!!!!

Volleyball: Congratulations to the 7th grade volleyball team! They won 4 of 4 games defeating Washington! Nadira Montague, Ella Vujovic, Addisyn Hamill, and Natalie Garcia led the team in serving. Great job ladies. Come support the team as they take on Thompson Tuesday.
