ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (RPS)
1.01 PROJECT IDENTIFICATION:
A. Rochester Public School District No. 535 is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the Century High School ADA Facilities Building project located at 2525 Viola Road NE, Rochester MN 55906.
B. Contractors will be selected using a low bid process.
C. Sealed bids for this project will be received by Rochester Public Schools, Independent School District No.535, in accordance with the Bidding Documents prepared by LHB, Inc., 21 W Superior Street, Suite 500, Duluth, MN 55802
D. Owner's Project No.: 305-2015-01; Bid No: 051515
1.02 PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
A. General Contract: Project scope includes the removal of the existing concession building, adjacent fencing and utilities and the provision of a new approximately 2,200 sqftfacilities building, appropriate subgrade preparation and materials, utility connections, concrete and asphalt patching, site work and permitting as noted on drawings. Facilities building includes toilet rooms, mechanical room, concessions room, ticket booth and storage room. Concession equipment such as coolers, warming pans, popcorn machines are by Owner.
1.03 BID DATE: SEALED BIDS MUST BE RECEIVED ON OR BEFORE MAY 15, 2015 AT 2:00
P.M. LOCAL TIME.
1.04 DELIVERY OF BIDS:
A. Rochester Public School District No. 535 will receive bids until 2:00 P.M. local time on May 15, 2015 at the office of:

B. Bids received after this time will not be accepted.
1.05 PROCUREMENT OF DOCUMENTS BY BIDDERS:
A.Bidding Documents will be available on April 24, 2015, and may be obtained at Quest Project #3871269.
1.Bid Documents may be downloaded for a non-refundable charge of $10.00.
2.Planholders that have downloaded the documents from QuestCDN will be notified via email as addenda are issued.

B. Bidders/Contractors are solely responsible for obtaining copies of the construction documents for bidding and construction, and for any costs incurred therein.
1.06PRE-BID CONFERENCE AND TOUR OF PROJECT SITE:
A. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference and tour of the project site is scheduled for April 30, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Century High School, 2525 Viola Road NE, Rochester, MN 55906 and is for all respondents to examine existing conditions.
B. Prime Contract Respondents are required to attend and will be responsible for any items discussed at this meeting.
C.All contractors are welcome to attend.
D. The bidders will need to sign in at the main office at the location listed above.

1.07 NOTICE TO PROCEED: May 20, 2015
1.08 TIME OF COMPLETION: OWNER REQUIRES COMPLETION OF CONTRACT WORK AS
FOLLOWS:
A. Construction Start: After June 9, 2015
B. Substantial Completion: August 10, 2015
C. Final Completion: August 17, 2015
D. Closeout Documents to Owner: September 17, 2015
1.09 BONDING REQUIREMENTS:
A. The Awarded Contractor(s) will be required to provide a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% and, if awarded, a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in amount of 100% of Contract Amount.
1.10 OWNER’S RIGHTS:
A.The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, accept any bid it deems to be in its best interest, to waive any informalities or irregularities in bids submitted, and waive minor irregularities or discrepancies in bidding procedure.
1.11 WAGE DETERMINATION REQUIREMENTS:
A. Minnesota prevailing wage statutes apply to this Work. Bidder is responsible for obtaining
schedule of prevailing wage rates and complying with these wage rates.
1.12 RESPONSIBLE CONTRACTOR ACT VERIFICATION FORM (ENCLOSED)
A. Per MN State Statue 16C.285, the Vendor shall complete the enclosed form verifying
compliance with the minimum responsibility requirements in the statute. Submit form with
Bid.
