BASIC INSTRUCTIONS:
1.Open document and SAVE immediately into your My Documents folder.
2.Do not delete prompts or sections.
3.Complete each section fully, using your best spelling, grammar and punctuation.
4.Save again, adding the current date to the document title.
5.Delete this page from your Proposal (after you have read it).
6.Print a copy for me and one for yourself.
7.Submit the Proposal according to instructions provided.
8.When revising, save each new version of your Proposal with a different date so you can easily refer back to earlier versions.
OTHER INSTRUCTIONS:
1.READ the directions carefully.
2.If you really want to do this project, make sure that your excitement shows. If you’re not excited about your project idea, no one else will be either. Choose something you care about.
3.Be prepared to be flexible about details: some aspects of your project proposal may not be practical or may not fulfill the project goals. Your panel will work with you to sort out options.
4.Share your proposal with your parents or another adult who knows you well. If you get feedback from people who care about your success, your project will be much more enjoyable and valuable to you.
5.Take pictures of your event/topic. Document your work!
6.Contact the local newspaper and have them submit a story on your hard work! Provide them with the basic information regarding the project.

United Nations One Thing Project Topic Proposal

The goal of the Project Topic Proposal is to outline the concept of your project and state your goals. Your responses need to be detailed. Please provide detailed responses to these questions; use as much space as you need. Leave all headings and italicized instructions in place and enter your responses below each prompt. When finished, save the document and print a copy for me and yourself.
1.Project Title
Provide a short, descriptive title for your project.
2.Project Description
Provide a general summary of your project, making sure to include your final product, event or goal.
3.Reasons for Selecting Topic
Explain the reasons you selected your project topic.
4.Knowledge of Topic
Provide a summary of information or background information about your project.
5.Preliminary Research Results
Summarize the results of your project.
6.Main Project Tasks
Summarize the main tasks your project will require you to do. This is NOT a general summary, but the beginning of the more specific development that is required for your Project Plan.
7.Potential Risks & Challenges
Describe the risks and challenges you believe you might encounter while doing your project. For example, not being able to find the right community expert to help you, money constraints, physical dangers, etc.
