If this training is reinforced and practiced upon return to the office, the person should increase to a four or five level very quickly. Please remember, a primary part of leaning is having the opportunity to apply the learning in a real work-related environment.
In addition to this letter, your employee should have been provided with a self-evaluation form, which asks them to rate how well they feel they have grasped the training objectives. Please ask your employee to share this information with you.
There are four items that ensure the transfer of learning, those are:
Ø Supervisor Commitment
Ø How soon the information from training is used.
Ø If the training is reinforced with feedback.
Ø Learner resources, does the person have the resources to do the work.
The information that we will provide you will assist you in meeting at least two of those items. We hope that the information will assist you and your office in getting a worker that is the best trained! If you find your employee seems to be having problems with any of the objectives, please do not hesitate to contact me so that improvements can be made in the curriculum.
Thanks for your continued support for learning.
