The game was a hard-fought affair by both sides, with several players from both teams hitting the floor throughout the contest.

“I’m still very proud of my ladies,” Lady Knights head coach Kenny Edwards said following the game. “We didn’t win a championship, but overall we have a lot to be proud of considering all of the ups and downs we had throughout the season. I told them to keep their heads up. This should give us some motivation in the off-season and provide a teaching lesson as we look ahead to next year.”

Quita Rogers scored a game-high 26 points to pace the Lady Knights scoring attack. Roshunda Dobbs followed with 13, while Hannah Penn added 11. Porsha Goss scored ten points to round out the double-figure scoring for West Georgia Tech.

This year’s women’s championship final concludes the inaugural season of play for women’s basketball in the Technical College System of Georgia Athletic Association Conference. The game also marked the conclusion of the first full season for West Georgia Tech’s women’s basketball program.
