1422 – Accelerated Spanish II Honors for Freshmen2013-2014
This is a level two Spanish course for freshmen only who have completed the equivalent of a two year sequence in junior high school. This course will expand the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills that were introduced in junior high. The use of audio visuals, readings and technology are used to reinforce language skills, as well as an appreciation of the Hispanic culture.
Prerequisite: Two years of junior high school Spanish, recommendation of the junior high
school teacher and placement testing.

Grading Policy
- A student’s quarter grade will be based on the following categories:
Tests and Quizzes-50%
Oral and Listening Skills-30%
Homework and Written Work-20%
- A student’s semester grade will be determined by the following scale:
First/Third Quarter-40%
Second/Fourth Quarter-40%
Final Exam-20%
- Per department policy, no extra credit will be offered.
