INVESTMENT PROSPECTUS

BRINGING IN BUSINESS…FOR AMERICA’S FUTURE

MATHCOUNTS Foundation, a 501(c) 3 organization, is soliciting business investment to grow America’s next generation of math, science, and technology leaders. As this country’s only nationwide math coaching and competition program, MATHCOUNTS has been motivating and rewarding middle-school math achievement since 1983. Each year, we work with over 500,000 students, 45,000 schools, and 17,000 volunteers across the United States. Our stellar students then hone their skills and teamwork in fast-paced, intensely competitive local, regional, and state play-offs, vying to reach the annual National Championships. MATHCOUNTS offers forward thinking businesses unique opportunities to build their brands and grow their markets, while preparing young people for leadership in tomorrow’s workplace – and world.

SPONSORS NEEDED

U.S. students can’t afford to fall behind their counterparts worldwide in math and science achievement. The U.S. – and, notably, the U.S. corporate sector – can’t afford to let them. With ever-increasing speed, math is becoming the basic building-block of business. MATHCOUNTS knows how to:

§  Excite students about math

§  Teach young people to be problem solvers

§  Demonstrate the importance of math in everyday life

§  Bring out the best in the best young mathematicians

§  Build teamwork skills

Right now, we’re working hard to expand participation in our core programs nationwide, while developing targeted ventures to reach more urban, rural, and minority students and engage more girls. We can do it with your Sustaining Support. More specifically, we need corporate underwriting to maintain the foundation of our program and build infrastructure so we can meet the emerging challenges of the 21st Century.

OUR SPONSORS GET THE SPOTLIGHT

MATHCOUNTS is an experienced and appreciative partner with corporate supporters. We put our sponsors out front. Our curriculum is distributed to 45,000 schools each year free of charge, in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, U.S. Territories, and international schools of the State and Defense Departments. Our ventures and events generate publicity, and our sponsors benefit as much as our programs. Our newsletter mailing list tops 200,000 schools, coaches, volunteers, and alumni. Our annual print runs for training and championship competition materials range from 45,000 to 60,000. Our web site averages 60,000 hits a month.

We make sure Supporters at ALL giving levels receive timely recognition through announcements in our newsletter and web site. Then, as level of support rises, we are able to tailor increasing levels of brand exposure and other benefits. Sponsorship opportunities are as follows:

National Championship Tournament—Turn-Key Signature Event

The MATHCOUNTS National Championship showcases the knowledge, skill, speed and teamwork of America’s most gifted and dedicated young mathematicians. The event also provides a single corporate sponsor with extraordinary exposure for brands, products and services and ideal dynamics for generating consumer goodwill. Held annually in May, the three-day Championships challenge and celebrate the astounding abilities of 228 sixth through eighth grade students, representing the best of all 50 states, the District of Columbia, U.S. Territories, and schools of the State and Defense Departments.
