Position Summary

The Regional Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for ongoing operational and sales (with focus on membership growth) and marketing strategies at assigned private clubs. The scope of the position includes helping manage a team of Sales and Marketing Managers (or Membership Directors), guiding the development and ensuring execution of property marketing plans, participating in the development and implementation of company-wide sales and marketing best practices, support in hiring and training of sales resources, supporting new business development efforts and providing strategic input on sales, pricing, product and revenue management strategies.

Qualifications

* Comprehensive membership sales and marketing experience at private country clubs.

* Demonstrated strategic skills – direct involvement in writing business plans and/or marketing plans, part of leadership or management team.

* Superior leadership, coaching, organization and prioritization skills

* Managing multiple golf course and country club operations.

* BA/BS degree, advanced degree preferred (concentration in hospitality, finance, bus admin & mgmt helpful).

* Demonstrated experience with financial analysis, forecasting, budget development, variance analysis, operational analysis, etc.

* Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of golf club operations.

* Personal strengths must include ability to see the big picture, ability to identify the important issues, organization skills, attention to detail, adaptability, ability to effectively balance multiple projects concurrently, problem solving skills, resourcefulness, ability to get things done under pressure.

* Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills including writing and presenting reports at all levels.

* Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.

* Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
