POST-TEST REQUIREMENTS
4-1.AFTER-ACTION REPORT
Units conducting the EIB test must submit an after-action report (AAR) to the USAIS no later than 15 days after completing the test. This AAR must include FB Form 20-40-R and any other comments. Figure 4-1 shows an example of a completed form. . The unit provides an information copy to its respective MACOM. At the end of this chapter, you will find aAn original blank copy of FB Form 20-40-R, is included at the end of this chapter(Figure 4-2) andwhich you can be reproduced locally on 8 1/2 by 11-inch paper.
4-2. AWARDING OF THE EIB
The commander who exercises general courts-martial authority over the recipient’s' unit awards the EIB. Only commanders above company level can present the EIB. Announce the award of the EIB in accordance with AR 600-8-105. These orders—
a.Cite this pamphlet as the approving authority.
b.Are rRecordedthe award on each recipient's DA Form 2-1 (Personal Qualification Record).

EXAMPLES:1.A soldier in a unit that is preparing for a long deployment may not have the chance to test for EIB during normal test rotations.
2.In some circumstances, a soldier who is preparing to PCS may take the EIB test, but reasonable circumstances must exist and both the losing and gaining commanders must agree to it.
