Overall InstructionsGet together with other students from different Nomes who represent the same social class as you.
EVERYONE will be an actor for the social class skits AND you will be wearing your menatsduring the skit
Step 1
Everyone will be an actor, but also Assign Special Roles for the project.
Script Writers – 2 people

Step 2
Learn about your Egyptian social class
Take turns and read the packet together
EVERYONE – answer the questions listed in your SS notebook (the answers to these questions should be the key elements of your skit)
Step 3
Plan the skit – everyone has input, but the script writers are in charge
The historian needs to make sure the answers to the questions are included and historically accurate
Director needs to be sure that the basic flow outlined in the packet is followed
Step 4
Brainstorm ideas for special effects and costumes.
Everyone can bring something, but special effects design should be coordinating it all
Step 5
REHEARSE – Director is in charge
Each person must actively participate and speak their lines clearly
Use costumes & props appropriately; cues for special effects
Grading – 2 scores
- Each person earns a grade based on on-task worktimequality performance during the skit.
- Each person within the social class earns a group grade based on the historical accuracy of the skit (be sure you are all wearing your menats).
