To: Workforce Development Council Members

Thank you for your response to our e-mail message about the council meeting in Twin Falls on Thursday, May 8, 2008. We are pleased that so many of you will be able to attend. Please mark your calendar for that date.

We are coordinating with the local “WIRED” council so that the two groups can spend part of the day together. We have confirmed that Deputy Assistant Secretary Doug Small of the U.S. Department of Labor will be joining us to spend time with the council and to participate in a kick-off event for the WIRED grant. We will have meeting details confirmed within the next couple of weeks, but at this point, we are planning on a full day meeting beginning with the business meeting.

Following is a copy of our e-mail message sent Feb. 1, 2008.

TO: WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL MEMBERS

Council Chair Con Paulos asked that we inform you of an opportunity to hold the next council meeting in Twin Falls on Thursday, May 8, in connection with a Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development (WIRED) kick-off event. There will be an opportunity to join with state and local leaders in promoting this initiative. Doug Small, who is heading up the Employment and Training Administration, is expected to be available to address the Council and participate in the ceremonies for WIRED.

Please respond to this e-mail message to let us know if you would be available on May 8 for a meeting in Twin Falls. This would take the place of the May 21 meeting in Boise that we discussed at the Jan. 15 council meeting.

If you have questions, please contact Cheryl Brush at (208) 332-3570, ext. 3312.

Thank you, Alice
