Commas with Nouns of Direct Address / ·  Use commas to set off nouns of direct address to explicated name who you are referring to / Don’t forget class to write your homework in your agenda.
Commas with Appositives
(Do not use a comma when the appositive is needed to make the meaning clearer –
Example: The English author Olivia E. Collidge wrote about Greek myths.) / ·  An appositive is a word or phrase that identifies or renames a noun or pronoun that comes right before it. Use a comma when the appositive adds extra information. / Olivia E. Collidge an English author wrote about Greek myths.
