Tax Rebate 2015: As a registered Charity, Backs Parish is entitled to claim back from the Revenue Commissioners the tax paid by parishioners on their contributions to the various Sunday & Holy Day collections. To be eligible for the 2015 tax rebate scheme the donor must have paid Income Tax in 2015 & have contributed at least €250 to the various Church Collections in that year. If you completed a form in 2013/14/15 & paid Income Tax in 2015, you don’t need to do anything. If you completed a form last year & didn’t pay Income Tax in 2015 please let me know. If you contributed €250 or more in 2015 and did not complete a form please do so this year and put it in the basket at mass. (Forms at Church doors) The Parish of Backs received €8,472.45 from the Revenue Commissioners for 2014. To comply with Data Protection your personal details (PPS No.; amount of contribution) will be kept confidential. Completing the form will not effect your rights with Revenue. From once you have paid your tax, Revenue will pay the rebate. Please support this Tax Rebate Scheme. It will be of great benefit to the upkeep of the Parish.
