EMO Hannover 2013 sets new standards

Precision tool sector: Second largest group of exhibitors delighted over brisk visitor traffic

Hannover, Germany. 21 Sept. 2013 – “EMO 2013 has confirmed its premier status as the metalworking industry’s flagship fair,” stated Markus Heseding, Managing Director of the Precision Tools Association in VDMA, on Saturday in Hannover, adding that the trade fair “not only set new standards in terms of the number of exhibitors and visitors, but also with regard to creative engineering innovations for metalworking solutions.”

EMO Hannover 2013 was formally opened on 16 September by German President Joachim Gauck and ran until 21 September. The brisk visitor traffic in the precision tool halls, halls 3 to 6, largely surpassed the expectations of the majority of exhibitors. A large number of decision-makers and users took advantage of the opportunity to visit tool manufacturers at their stands and find out more about the countless new metalworking technologies available. Exhibitors emphasized the broad international makeup and high degree of competence among their visitors, leading precision tool manufacturers to anticipate good after-show business.

The next EMO takes place from 5 to 10 October 2015, parallel to the world exposition (Expo 2015) in Milan, Italy.

The Precision Tool Association in VDMA is the leading information and communication hub for German precision tool manufacturers and their representatives. Precision tools are used in all areas of metalworking and in parts of the plastic processing industry.
