3. Execution

3.1 INSTALLATION

.1 Install [reinforced] concrete encased underground ductbank[s] [and manholes] at locations indicated on drawings.

.2 Build [ductbank] [and manholes] on undisturbed soil [or on well compacted granular fill not less than 150mm thick].

.3 Install ductbank with a minimum [150] []mm per 30m length slope.

.4 Provide [25] []mm drain holes in bottom of each conduit.

SPECNOTE:Drain holes only required when Ductbank Drain Assembly is used.

.5 Install base spacers at not greater than [1.5] []m intervals.

.6 Install conduit using preformed interlocking rigid plastic intermediate spacers to maintain spacing between ducts at not less than [50] [75] []mm horizontally and vertically.

.7 Stagger joints in adjacent duct layers by [600] [900]mm and make joints watertight.

.8 Use galvanized rigid steel conduit for all bends in excess of [20] [] degrees and for all sections extending above finished grade level.

.9 Use bell ends at duct terminations.

.10 Use conduit to duct adapters when connecting to threaded galvanized rigid steel conduit.

.11 Terminate duct runs with a duct coupling set flush with the end of concrete duct envelope when deadending ductbank for future extension.

.12 Encase ductbank with [50] [75]mm thick concrete envelope.
