Education Databases Search Tips
CAVALOG
Use Cavalog to locate materials by author, subject, title, keyword or a combination of these. Hint: Set the location field to Internet to find e-books.
DATABASES
General search tip: Once you’ve performed a search in a database, use the navigation buttons/links within the database to go forward and backward. Do not use the back button on your internet/web browser. This might cause you to lose information.
Education Research Complete
Hint: Set your email and citation style by using the Preferences link.
Hint: Use truncation * to expand results. Type the root word followed by *
For example: adolesc* will find adolescent, adolescents, adolescence
Hint: Add records to a folder to create a bibliography
Hint: Batch print or batch email records from the folder.
Hint: Email or print records in APA citation style from the email records option.
Hint: Create your own ‘My EbscoHost’ Account to retain search results, search history
Hint: Use the Electronic ILL (Interlibrary Loan) request form when prompted at Check for full-text availability
