What is the European Network of Innovative schools, how can you become an ENIS school?

What is ENIS ?
ENIS is the European Network of Innovative Schools.

What Is An ENIS School?
It is a school that takes part in the European Network of Innovative Schools. ENIS schools have been selected as some of the most innovative schools in their home countries when using information and communication technologies for teaching and learning.

How Are ENIS Schools Selected?
The Ministries of Education that takes part in the ENIS organisation, there is an ENIS Co-ordinator, who is responsible for the national network of innovative schools. This person lays out the agreed European criteria and procedures in his/her own Ministry, and identifies how they can be integrated into national policy. The best way to identify schools on a national level is determined by the Ministry, which certifies ENIS schools to be integrated into the European Network

How Are ENIS Schools Recognized?
A special certificate is awarded to each school by European Schoolnet in conjunction with the national Ministries of Education.

What Are The Benefits Of Being An ENIS School?

·  Be recognised as a front runner among schools, as a centre of innovative and a good quality school on both national and European level;

·  Exchange experiences, problems and solutions with other ENIS schools;

·  Set up new collaborative projects with similar European schools;

·  Participate in important educational and technological seminars, conferences and workshops;

·  Potentially test and validate new educational materials.

What Are The Responsibilities Of An ENIS School?

·  Act as examples of good practice

·  Prepare school presentations for seminars and exhibitions;

·  Assure that your school’s homepage is regularly updated, including projects, activities and the quality of the learning environment;

·  Improve internal quality as suggested in the e-Learning policies and take part in the knowledge society.
