It’s SUMMER TIME! Summer is full of pool time, sports practice, summer jobs, camp, and SO much more! We wanted to go ahead and give you a heads up on all the dates planned for this summer, so that you can plan ahead for vacations, etc.

June Series
Life on Mission
We believe that the series that Life Church is going through on the weekend services is vital to the DNA of our church and therefore Vertical Student Ministries, we want to create a culture of one mindset, one spirit. Therefore, we are going to be going through the same series Life on Mission through the month of June. We encourage you to spend time reading the Life on Mission Book, and doing the daily devotional with your student, and life of Spiritual Disciplines starts at home. Leading by example is the most effective way to create a heart for time with Jesus.
Summer Kick Off
This event is similar to the Game Day event that we hosted in the fall, or if you were familiar with Shindig, it is similar. Our goal is to give your students an outlet to invite their un-churched friends to come to Vertical and hear the gospel. We have a night full of FREE food, and crazy fun FREE games & events. Encourage your students to reach out to friends, invite like crazy! We will play from 6-8, and then we will give a gospel presentation at the end. Here is a list of some of the events that we will have that night:

Small Groups
We understand that summertime can be CRAZY, and so during the summer our small groups meeting time, and content may change. Below is a list of our Small Groups and what their plans are for the summer:
Fusion (Yellow, Middle School) Break for summer
Green (Gardner Middle School) Break for summer
Gold (Middle School GIRLS ONLY) Continue weekly as scheduled, Monday Nights 6pm
Dioko (Orange, High school) Meet Sundays, 6:30pm//Mix of Devo time and fun
Red (High school) Meet every few weeks for fun activity, no set schedule, stay connected
Blue (Highschool) Undetermined, will inform small group
We believe that small groups are vital to the discipleship process of young men and women in this critical and vulnerable time of their lives. If you are interested in leading a small group, we would love to connect with you. We are especially looking for people who would be willing to lead gender based middle school groups, and both middle and high school groups in Gardner. Take the Land Summer Camp
There are still spots available for camp, but they are filling up fast! We are so expectant for what God is going to do over these 6 days!If you have a student that is interested in going, please fill out the authorization packet that is attached below, and turn in ALL Money by June 10. If you need help with the total cost, we have also attached a scholarship application. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Nicole or myself.
Mandatory Camp Meeting
Students that are attending, and Parents of students MUST be present. If you cannot make this meeting you must let Nicole know ASAP. We will be going over the rules and expectations of camp, and handing out a copy of camp schedule to Parents. This will also be a great opportunity to meet the Vertical Staff and leaders. The meeting will be approximately an hour. You will be able make sure everything is ready to go on your students paperwork and also the FINAL camp payments.
