GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Attention Juniors and Seniors: Off-CampusPermits are available to Juniors and Seniors only. You will need to have a signed Lunch Permit form and your student ID card to receive a sticker. Stickers will be distributed by Mr. Fisher in the AP office beginning today.Students will not be able to leave campus at lunch until they have an off-campus lunch permit.
Athletic Team Tryouts
Boys basketball tryouts for all 3 levels will take place Tuesday August 15th and Wednesday August 16th from 5-7pm in the gym. Please bring water and basketball attire.
If you are interested in running and want to tryout for Cross Country, please talk to Mr. Velarde in the PE office during the day or after school before 4:30 by the Track, by Friday, Aug. 18th.
Girls Soccer Tryoutswill be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (Aug 14 - 16) from 3:30 - 5:30 at Sierra Vista. Please come prepared to play and bring water. See Coach Rusk in G-202 if you have a scheduling conflict.

Meetings and Clubs
Latino Dance Club-Club Latino de Baile: Are you interested in learning how to dance Latino music such as cumbia, bachata, and merengue? Come and join us at lunch, weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in room D5. Let's have some fun! Experience is not required. Hope to see you there!
There's a meeting in E-5 at the beginning of lunch on Thursday for all National Honor Society members.
Canyon's GSA meets every Thursday at Lunch in Mrs. Lyle's room, K-2. Everyone is welcome, please come and join us!
Checkmates Chess, YU-GI-OH, and other Board Games Club will meet Friday in G-117. Bring your lunch.
College & Career Readiness
We have an amazing Dental Assistant class on the CHS campus. It is through our Career pathways. The program is one year, ending in a Certification in Dental Assisting. Many of these programs can cost up to $20,000 outside of this setting. We still have 14 seats available. If you are interested in a Dental pathway, please see Syreeta Brown in the Admin building as soon as possible.
