Many years ago there lived a young boy called Danny. He lived with his father in a small flat above the garage where his dad worked. The garage was next to a very tall telegraph pole that had a large light on the top to stop planes flying into it.
Every morning Danny would get up and walk to school, which took nearly an hour.
One morning Danny decided to walk a different way to school to try and save time. After walking for nearly an hour Danny realised he was lost. As the sun got higher in the sky he realised that the day was moving on and it was nearly lunch time so he sat down took out his sandwiches and ate lunch.
Before long Danny was feeling quite sleepy and started to nod off. He woke up some time later and it was getting darker.
Soon his Dad would start to worry. After thinking for a short time Danny started to feel scared and was sure that he would end up lost forever then he looked up. He could see a light in the distance. It was the light on the telegraph pole. If he followed that he would soon be home. Next moment Danny was off always looking up at the light as he ran home as quickly as he could.
