Contact: Kim Hoffman 0191 244 2502 / Role Play area indoors- to create a stage area inside the classroom to enable the children to perform our Traditional Tales using costumes.
Changing Home Corner- designing and creating three areas in the home corner to represent different fairy tales.
Outdoor area- creating a ‘Three Little Pigs’ construction are in the outdoors.
Writing area to be created into post office area- using post box for the children to post their own letter to our characters from the ‘Jolly Postman Story’. / The Jolly Postman or other People’s letters

Launch Day- / Wearing pajamas for our launch day- children will be exploring exploring texts from the ‘Jolly Postman’ story including Goldilocks and the three bears, Jack and the beanstalk, Cinderella, Little Red riding hood. / Expressive Arts and Design- Being Imaginative:

Learning Expedition- Theatre Royal Newcastle Upon Tyne
Workshop based on Traditional Tales- acting workshop. / The children will be taking part in a workshop based on a Traditional Tale. Competing workshop to practise our acting for our final performance. / Expressive Arts and Design- Exploring and using media and materials:

Fundraising for Book Aid International (throughout our topic) / Throughout our topic the children will be raising money for Book Aid which sends books to children’s schools as well as community libraries. / Understanding of the World: The World and People and Communities.
