GRADING POLICY:
All classwork should be turned in by the end of the class period, unless otherwise noted. Homework is due at the beginning of the class period. Homework must be 100% complete in order to receive credit. Late homework will only be accepted one day late and it will be taken for70% credit. Projects/Assessments will be accepted up to 2 days late. Each day 15% will be taken off. If an assignment is not turned in due to absence, a “Missing” tag will be placed in the Infinite Campus grading system for that assignment and averaged as zero. Once the assignment is turned in, the zero will be changed to the grade earned. Any assignment not completed due to absence should be made up within 3 days of returning to school. If the assignment is not made up within three days, the zero will stand.
The grading system will be updated once a week. It is the student's responsibility to ask Sra. Conner for make-up assignments and make arrangements for any make-up work, exams or quizzes. Any make-up work beyond the 3-day period must be approved by Sra. Conner. Tests and quizzes must be made up after school.
Do your own work! Cheating on any assignment will result in an automatic zero. There will not be an opportunity to make up the work. Cheating includes and is not limited to use of a translator (ex. Google Translator), copying, and/or asking a friend to do the work.
Retest Guidelines will be followed based on the Effingham Co. Board of Education. Students scoring 79 or lower may retest for a maximum grade of 80 within 5 days after remediation. *Please see your teacher to review your original test before retaking it.
