CASE CATALYST HELP SHEET - Format Symbols
Paired Format Symbols(Can be used in Edit or in any dictionary for use in Realtime)
IMPORTANT: Generally speaking, a capital letter turns on a feature. The corresponding lowercase letter will turn off a feature. Format Symbols are activated by keying F4 and then the key for the feature you'd like to use. You do not have to turn off one set of format symbols before you use another set.
B / b / Bold On/Bold Off
D / d / Italics On/Italics Off
H / h / Centering On/Centering Off
M / m / Secondary Margin 1 On/Secondary Margin Off
S / s / Single Space On/Single Space Off
U / u / Underline On/Underline Off
V / v / All Caps On/All Caps Off
W / w / Superscript On/Superscript Off
X / x / Suffix designation/Prefix designation (in dictionary entries only)
Y / y / Subscript On/Subscript Off
Z / z / Line Numbers On/Line Numbers Off

F6 / Initial Cap Next Word
F7 / Initial Cap Previous Word
F5 / Uncap Next Word
Q / Question (includes previous paragraph's period, new line, tab, Q, tab, automatic capitalization of first word)
A / Answer (includes previous paragraph's question mark, new line, tab, A, tab, automatic capitalization of first word)
C / Colloquy (includes previous paragraph's period, new line, tab) The name of the person speaking needs to be specified, followed by a colon and one space in dictionary entries. In Edit, there needs to be two spaces following the colon.
~ / Delete space
E / Secondary Margin 2 On (very rarely used)
g / Glue (used with letter-by-letter spelling)
k / Keep Together (used with titles and numbers)
l / New Line
n / New Page
O / Secondary Margin 3 On (very rarely used)
p / New Paragraph
r / Right Margin Release (very rarely used)
