Mark Harper Award (Sr WCSSAA League MVP)-

Mark Harper is currently a Superintendent with the WRDSB. Mark was one of the founding coaches of the WCSSAA rugby league and played a pivotal role in the growth of rugby in Waterloo Region. Mark has held various positions with Waterloo County RFC including Minor Rugby Director and a Member of the Board. Mark is a former coach of the University of Waterloo, and a mentor to many players and coaches from around the Waterloo Region.

Tyler Schmidt (Jr WCSSAA League MVP)

Tyler was an all star rugby player for Waterloo Oxford Secondary School and Wilfrid Laurier University. After attending teachers college, Tyler began his teaching career and was a rugby Coach at Waterloo Collegiate before moving to Switzerland with his wife to teach at an international School. Tyler died in an avalanche while on a school trip in the Swiss Alps in 2005. Tyler was an excellent player, coach, role model and mentor.
