West Creek Academy Newsletter #41
Traffic& Safety Concerns
While West Creek is designated as a walking-neighborhood school, we still have a large volume oftrafficcoming to school each day. We cannot possibly have a safe and orderly arrival and dismissal process apart from each driver exercising patience and following the valet lane procedure. Please be patient and courteous to pedestrians and drivers.
Once a vehicle enters the parking lot, it must follow the flow of thetraffic. Please do not make illegal turns as it increases congestion, and more importantly creates safety issues. Please do not make a U-turn by the gates on West Hills Drive.

Attendance
Please contact the school office if your child will be absent or arriving late as soon as possible. If we do not hear from you, we are required to make contact with you if your child does not show up for school. We have a very large student population and your prompt notification will reduce the number of calls that we have to make every morning.
Please sure to let us know your child's name, child's teacher, specific reason for absence (cough, cold, out of town) and date of absence.
Any child who is absent or arriving late needs to be reported to the attendance line. Reporting to your child's teacher does not ensure that your child's absence will be cleared. Please remember to notify us by8:30amon the morning that your child is not in class.
