The Absolute Qualifier - His Way!

September 16, 2014

“Giving thanks to the Father who has QUALIFIED us to be partakers

of the inheritance of the saints in the light” (Colossians 1:12).

1. Have you ever been told that you were overqualified, under qualified or disqualified?

Disqualified: To deprive of the right to participate in or win a contest because of a violation of the rules.

“If anyone loves God, this one is known by Him” (I Corinthians 8:3).

3. Which do you think takes more humility--to work for and earn your own righteousness or to receive righteousness as a

gift from God?

Studies have consistently shown that employees who consider themselves overqualified exhibit higher levels of discontent.

4. “Grace” has made you fully qualified for the favor of God! Grace is Jesus!

“This is my life work: helping people understand and respond to this Message. It came as a sheer gift to me, a real surprise, God handling all the details. When it came to presenting the Message to people who had no

background in God’s way, I was the least qualifiedof any of the available Christians. God saw to it that I was equipped, but you can be sure that it had nothing to do with my natural abilities” (Ephesians 3:7-8, MSG).

5. You, just like Paul, are qualified to do all that God desires, because of His Son, Jesus Christ! You are

the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!

“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (II Cor. 5:21).

6. When we take our eyes off the Father's goodness, the inevitable result is putting them on our own performance. This is

where we diminish the power of the Holy Spirit work through us.

7. Our propensity is to zoom in on flaws.

“A psychological study said that a negative interaction has five times the power of a positive interaction.” Specktor

“Your brains under construction. Think back to your last performance review. Your boss starts by saying 19 positive thing. But if there's one piece of criticism at the end, that's what you remember. What sticks is the negative 20th. The overreaction--called negativity bias in psychology circles.” Reader’s Digest, August 2014, The Brain

8. What power have you been delivered from (Colossians 1:13)?

How does not having any "dark" bargaining power make you feel?

“Jesus Christ destroys even the evidence against me!” Pastor Tom Anderson

9. Remember, obedience to God is the fruit of favor - not the root.

10. All of a sudden, your days of being poor and sick will be over - effortlessly through the declaration of faith.

“I have yet to see darkness swallow light.” Bill Johnson
