“Wrist Fractures (distal & scaphoid)”

Objectives:

1.  Understand the anatomy and fracture patterns associated with distal radius and scaphoid fractures

2.  Explain diagnosis and treatment options and outcomes for distal radius fractures

3.  Understand different surgical approaches and when each type is appropriate

4.  Discuss the blood supply to the scaphoid and its implication on treatment of different fractures

5.  Discuss complications associated with surgical treatment of these injuries and strategies to avoid them

“Wrist Arthroscopy”

Objectives:

1.  Understand the anatomy of the wrist with regard to various portals

2.  Explain indications for wrist arthroscopy

3.  Discuss the approach to diagnostic wrist arthroscopy
