SHOWCASE A GLOBAL CONTINUUM OF CONTEMPORARY FINE ART

A record daily attendance revels within an energetic three shows in one location

International buyers, dealers, collectors, and exhibitors celebrate a rewarding year of exuberant sales during Miami Art Week

Miami, FL – December 21st, 2017: Spectrum Miami, Red Dot Miami, and ArtSpot Miami, the renowned three shows in one location, celebrated by the international fine art industry during Miami Art Week, announces its most impressive year todate for exhibitor sales and overall attendance during the five-day event in the heart of the city’s Arts Entertainment District. This year’s shows reported combined multimillion-dollar exhibitor sales and a record-breaking attendance, with more than 50,000 attendees throughout the week and more than 6,500 guests for the Opening Night Preview Party.

The annualOpening Night Preview Party on Wednesday, Dec. 6, marked the commencement of the five-day global panorama in contemporary art, culture, and entertainment. This year’s highly prestigious invitation-only event was in association with Cervera Real Estate and hosted by CEO Veronica Cervera Goeseke and Managing Partner Alicia Cervera Lamadrid, who officially opened the shows with the CEO of Redwood Media Group, Eric Smith, during a memorable ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“This year’s shows were our most successful and most entertaining to date,” Smith says. “By way of this year’s most authoritative and prominent partnerships formed in the arts, culture, and luxury lifestyle arenas, we enjoyed a record attendance through the doors over the five days of Miami Art Week. This highly targeted co-existing network of affluent buyers, dealers, and collectors translated into a very satisfied ensemble of exhibitors—many of which return to exhibit with us each year and many who exhibited with us for the first time. Artists and galleries across all three shows reported excellent sales and an increase in purchasing power compared to last year, which reflects how consumer confidence and business within the art community is now back on its feet.”

A featured Art Lab installation upon entering the shows greeted this year’s avid art enthusiast with an unforgettable display of nature’s most wondrous creations. Curated by Noor Blazekovic of Irreversible Projects, with the support of Jane Hart of Lemon Sky Projects and Neil Gold of Galleria Farms, A Walk in the Clouds displayed an elaborate sensory experience, featuring approximately 2,000 freshly cut flowers of multiple colors that were suspended from the ceiling, allowing guests to be completely immersed in blossoming beauty while heading into the purpose-built tent.
