Triple A Training, as the training division of Brisbane Indigenous Media Association, often records aspects of your training program through a variety of multimedia. The recorded multimedia may include video footage /photos/audio of yourself while you participate in or conduct training either on-site or in the field.The majority of the multimedia is published on our training sites; the Online Student Portal or on the Information Gateway ( Sometimes it will also be used in promotional flyers/brochures and as evidence for funding applications and acquittals.
Exemplary samples of recorded audio may also be used as a training resource, or broadcast on-air at a later date.By signing below, you indicate you acknowledge that the multimedia footage is the intellectual property of BIMA and will only be used for promotional, educational or administrative purposes. If the video or still images or audio are required for other reasons, BIMA is obligated to contact you on the number you provide below.

Internet Policy
Students will be allocated access to an online training area; use of the internet must be in support of mediaeducation and research. Unacceptable use includes, but is not limited to:
- Using the internet to play games, for idle activities or non-work related purposes.
- Accessing chat lines. (No facebook, you tube msn etc)
- Displaying offensive/inappropriate material
- Downloading music or video files.
- Gaining or seeking to gain unauthorised access to resources or entities, or to others’ files.
- Wasting resources by indiscriminate use of hard drive space, access time, paper or printing.
- Installing software or downloading information on any BIMA computer without management approval.
All students should comply with internationally accepted standards of social behavior when using the internet.

Unique Student Identifier (USI)
All students studying nationally recognised training in Australia from 1 January 2015 will be required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). The USI will allow your students online access to their training records and results(transcript)through their online USI account.
- A USI is required for students undertaking nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses to receive their statement of attainment or qualification.
- The USI will be available online and at no cost to students.
- This USI will stay with students for life and be recorded with any nationally recognised VET course
- Students can access their USI accounts online from computers, tablets or their smart phones anytime.
Students must provide adequate proof of identification in order to create a USI. Forms of ID can include:
- Driver’s Licence
- Medicare Card
- Australian Passport
- Visa (with Non-Australian Passport)
- Birth Certificate (Australian) *please note a Birth Certificate extract is not sufficient

User Choice Fees (Office Use only)
- Student Contribution Fees are a Participant's contribution to the cost of tuition for Certificate II and above.
- Where a Participant does not commence a Unit of Competency/Module, then Triple A Training will reimburse the Participant for all student contribution fees collected in relation to that Unit of Competency/Module.
- Where a Participant withdraws from a Unit of Competency/Module after participating in a learning activity, then a proportionate payment of the student contribution fee will be reimbursed.
- The student contribution fee is calculated at $1.60 per nominal hour for each Unit of Competency/Module delivered. The maximum fee payable is $1,680.
User Choice Fees – Partial Fee Exemption (Office Use only)
If you fall into one of the following exemption categories you may be required to pay only 25% of the full tuition fee:
- Under 17 at the end of February in the year in which your training commences and have not completed year 12 (yes/no)
- Hold a current health care card or pensioner card issued under the commonwealth law, or is the partner or a dependant of a person who holds a health care card or pensioner concession card, and is named on the card (yes/no).

Based on the answers given below you may be eligible for the wavering of fees associated with the Brisbane Indigenous Media Association.
(a)Where payment of the tuition fee and/or a student services fee would cause the Participant extreme financial hardship, then the Supplier may exempt the Participant from these fees. (If you wish to appeal the decision regarding fee exemption, evidence of financial hardship may be required including bank statements, expenses etc in an interview with the General Manager)
(b)The exemption process should be in place at the time of the Participant's enrolment.
(c)Where the Participant is a School Based Apprentice or Trainee.
Refund Policy
1. A full refund will be provided for tuition fees charged for training delivery that has not commenced at the time of the cancellation of enrolment.
2. A proportionate refund will be provided where the participant has withdrawn from a unit of competency/module that has commenced but not been completed.
Literacy & Numeracy Information
