  • Centre has procedures in place to ensure the secure and fair delivery of assessments
  • Centre has policies and procedures in place to support candidates requesting special considerations
  • Centre has procedures in place for candidates to formally complain and to enquire, question or appeal assessment conditions

SECTION 6:Important Information

1) The NCC Education Equality and Diversity Policy must be adhered to and a copy of this is available on the NCC Education website

2) All centres offering NCC Education qualifications must abide by the NCC Education regulations which relate to the qualifications and academic delivery. These regulations can be found in the NCC Education Academic Regulations together with the polices listed in this applicationon the NCC Education website

3) All centres offering NCC Education qualifications must abide by the NCC Education Centre Regulations at all times, which are located on the NCC Education website

4) You must NOT engage in any promotional activity regarding NCC Education qualifications until your application for accreditation has been successful and you have received written confirmation of this from NCC Education.

5) As an NCC Education Accredited Centre you agree to:

a)hold and transmit securely details of assessment outcomes to NCC Education

b)have the staff resources and systems necessary to support the assessment of units and the accumulation and transfer of credits

c)unless a learner chooses not to have one, obtain on behalf of our candidates a unique learner number (ULN) and a learner record (UK only)

d)where candidate consent is given, access the record of the candidate’s previous achievements in their learner record to ensure that opportunities for credit transfer and exemption are maximised (UK only)

e)have administrative systems in place to track the progress of candidates towards their target awards

f)where appropriate, have in place arrangements that support the recognition of prior learning (RPL)

g)provide NCC Education and the qualifications regulators with access to premises, people and records, and to co-operate with NCC Education’s monitoring activities

h)guarantee that all staff involved in the delivery, teaching and administration of NCC Education qualifications are appropriately qualified. NCC Education reserves the right to request CVs and/or confirmation of qualifications at any time.

i)have policies and procedures in place to prevent and investigate malpractice and administration and report all suspicions of malpractice to NCC Education in a prompt and transparent manner

j)co-operate with any requests for information from NCC Education in a prompt and transparent manner

k)abide by and implement any decisions made by NCC Education under the Candidate and Centre Sanctions Policy notwithstanding a centre’s right to appeal such decisions. The Policy is located on the NCC Education website

l)Ensure that all information in the public domain and given to candidates relating to NCC Education qualifications is accurate and not misleading.

Teacher Requirements

All teachers must hold a minimum of a first degree in a related subject to the qualification/module(s) they will be teaching.

All teachers must hold a recognised local teaching qualification and preferably have at least one year of relevant teaching experience.

Teachers whose first language is not English must be able to teach in English at the level equivalent to IELTS 6.0.

A Programme Manager is required who has overall responsibility for the teaching of the programme and who meets the requirements above.

What happens next?

All centres must meet our approval criteria in order to successfully deliver NCC Education qualifications and we will need to see evidence from you that your centre meets these requirements.

Once we have received all supporting documents we will check the information you have supplied and contact you directly.

Every NCC Education Centre must follow NCC Education’s regulations and procedures at all times to ensure the integrity and security of qualifications and teaching programmes is maintained and not brought into disrepute. This is a condition of approval.

Do I need an accreditation visit?

Yes, all centres applying for accredited status will require an accreditation visit from a representative of NCC Education; once we have reviewed your application a member of the team will contact you directly to make the arrangements.
