REMEMBER IN PRAYER
Bro. Armour requested prayer for a nephew who has diabetes. He asked prayer for his health and for his soul. Bro. Armour also has a friend, Russ, who has problems with which he needs help. Pray for him.
Mayrene and her sister both had some tests recently. Mayrene got good results but her sister has to have more tests. Pray that she will also get good results.
Virginia Clemons asked for prayer for a friend at her residence who broke her ankle in three places. This friend has a testimony of salvation and she has become very close friends with Virginia. Please pray for her friend’s speedy recovery.
Continue to pray for Allyson Clark, the Shoulders’ grandchild. I believe she is back at home.
When visiting Fairview Missionary Baptist in Kentucky, some of our members witnessed the testimony of Zack, a 16 year old boy who has been diagnosed with bone cancer. Zack said he was a winner whichever way his future turned out. Please remember to pray for this young man’s health.
Lori Read Williams has recently given birth to a little boy.
Betty Coon is wearing a boot now because of problems with tendonitis, We hope she is soon better and can shed the boot!
Continue to pray for the churches which have recently lost their pastors – Gateway, Old Paths, and Rayon City.
MRS, RHODA KEMP WROTE THIS POEM
"I'm Tired"
Soon I'll leave this this world of sorrow,
Soon I'll cross the Jordan wide,
Soon I'll climb the hill to glory,,
Then------I'll rest on the other side.
Soon the journey will be ended,
And all hardships will be o'er.
I'll rest in peace forever
on that happy Golden shore.
These words came from somewhere magical
But ever so true, when Heavens gates are open,
I KNOW I'm going through.
Rhoda

BUSINESS MEETING FOR SEPTEMBER
An appointment was scheduled for Bro. Matthew Clark for Sunday night, 6:00 p.m. on September 16. Bro. Clark is from Harvest Missionary Baptist Church.
Minutes, Treasurer’s Report, and Sunday School Report was read and approved.
Correspondence was read from Southside Missionary Baptist Church in Indianapolis inviting our ordained help to attend an ordination of Bro. Derrick Mobley on Saturday, November 10, at 10:00 a,m. The church authorized our ordained members to attend if possible.
The Shrubbery Committee is continuing with plans to get a tree trimmed at the back of the property.
The Tent Revival was discussed and the church voted to let Bro. Armour do the preaching and/or get someone to help him as he need it. Bro. Tony Clark might be a possibility of help because of his Spanish capability. Dillon might also be available. Everything was left to Bro. Armour to fill in as he sees fit. The tent has been secured. The church voted to provide the meat and buns for the afternoon meal at the Tent Revival on Saturday. It was also voted to send $200 to New Bethel Church for their graciousness in lending their tent for several years.
There will be a Christmas Program again this year and Cindy Clemons was elected to oversee this program.

SECRET SISTERS
The Faith Secret Sisters met for lunch at the church, with Michelle Sharpe being the hostess on this past Thursday. We had a great lunch and good fellowship. Michelle brought along mind-boggling tongue twister cards for everyone to guess the message. Barbara, Brenda, Mayrene and Ruth seemed to be the quick thinkers. Ms, Virginia is still wondering why she can’t convince an ambulance company that she is not the 99 year old lady who took a ride in their ambulance and for which her insurance company was billed. Do you think the company might wonder if the 99 year old just couldn’t remember taking that ride? We had a lot of good laughs and had a very enjoyable time.
