Use of land for a Liquor Licence

For all planning applications the following MUST be provided:
An Application form completed and signed
A full current copy of Title for the land, including the map showing current ownership details, title plan and a full copy of any registered covenants, restrictions or Section 173 Agreements that apply to the land. (The Copy of Title must be clearly legible and no older than 90 days.)
Titles are available at , select “Titles, Certificates and CrownLand Status “option and then follow the prompts.
The prescribed application fee

In addition to the information required above, the following MUST be provided for the use of the land for a liquor licence:

Fully dimensioned red line plan (where liquor is to be supplied and consumed):
3 copies drawn at preferred scales of 1:100 or 1:200 in A4 or A3 size
Plans should show the following, as appropriate:
The boundaries and dimensions of the site
The premises address
A compass north point and the names of surrounding streets
Location of any existing buildings and structures
Existing/proposed internal layout (including external doors/windows) of the premises including a line to indicate the area(s) to be licensed in bold red (including any outdoor areas) and/or the existing red lines area
Note: Red line areas cover where alcohol is to be supplied and consumed.
The designated seating area(s) and number of seats proposed
Location of any existing on-site car parking and vehicle access arrangements
Details of adjoining and surrounding land uses including any habitable room windows and doors of adjoining buildings
A written statement outlining:
A description of the existing/proposed use
Existing/proposed hours of operation
Type of liquor licence sought (Find them at

Where trading hours beyond 11 pm are sought:

A Cumulative Impact Assessment outlining:
The location and type of licensed premises within a 500 metre radius of the subject site
Statement about howthe proposed operation will reduce impacts on the amenity of the surrounding area
Justification for hours of operation beyond 11pm (if applicable)

Pre-application Meetings:

Pre-application meetings are recommended as a part of the application process. Council officers can provide specific advice to applicants on whether the proposal is generally consistent with the Moorabool Planning Scheme.

Council officers will also aim to assist applicants to become fully aware of the expected standard and extent of documentation they are required to provide with their application to reduce or avoid the need for Council to request further information.
