Questions You May Have

Why did the registration fee go up this year? To achieve our goal of becoming one of Georgia’s ELITE programs, we MUST invest in our future. This would include more 7 on 7’s, early morning weight training, better equipment, upgraded technology, etc.It may surprise you to know what other area teams charge for their registration fees. Some examples are: Roswell ($550), Pope ($600) & North Gwinnett ($750) and Archer ($1,025).

Do I have to pay $625 for my son to play Walton Football? Yes. However, new this year, is the opportunity to have his registration fee fully refunded through the selling of program ads and banners.

How can I get my registration fees refunded? Each player is expected to sell a minimum of $625 in advertising from program ads and/or banners. If a player sells a total of $1,375 in advertising, the entire $625 will be refunded. For every dollar sold over $625, the player will receive back 90% up to the $625.

For example, if a player sells $1,000 in total ad sales, the math is as follows: $1,000 (combined advertising)-$625 (minimum requirement) = $375.

$375 x .9 = $337.50. A check for $337.50 will be issued to you.

Please note, this only applies to advertising paid in full and turned in prior to the July 22nddeadline.

What happens if I don’t sell my allotment of $625 inadvertising? The coaching staff will be given the status of each player to make sure these goals are being worked on. The need for the program and the expectation is that every player meetstheir goal.

What does the $625 Fee provide? This fee allows your son to play football for Walton. While $625 does not cover the actual per player cost, it does help defray some of the expenses.

Why do you want me to pay now as opposed to in the Fall? Funds are needed now to purchase necessary equipment, uniforms and other capital needs. 2015 Walton Football begins April 1st.

Doesn’t Walton pay for the football program? The school system provides about 10% of what it takes to put a player on the field. We rely on registration fees and fundraising to run a competitive football program.

Are refunds available if my son decides to stop playing Walton Football? No refunds will be issued for any reason other than reimbursement for selling of advertising.

How do I get my Refund/ Credit? The process is being finalized, but we anticipate refund checks being sent to you no later September 1, 2015.
