Greetings!
The beginning of our school year has been absolutely wonderful. I hope you talked to your child about their first day of school. Our staffulty flash mob was a huge hit. Students participated in sessions such as Commit to graduate CCR, What is Renaissance, Building a Legacy, and Because I Said I Would? The day finished off with a rally where students competed in class level competitions. I would like to thank Mrs. Bowens, Mrs. Brown and the Renaissance students for their hard work in making the beginning of our school year fabulous.
The first couple weeks of school are busy as we try to establish a routine. We have many required safety drills that we will complete. Students are being called if there is a need to change their schedules. If you have not returned your child’s paperwork please do so soon. If you are having any problems please contact the school office.
The new dress code is a refreshing change. Our kids look great and are comfortable. Please remember that tights cannot be worn unless they are covered with a shirt or a skirt/dress that comes to mid-thigh. You may not have holes above the knee unless you have on tights underneath. If you have any dress code questions please feel free to contact administration.
I cannot complement our students and staffulty enough on their attitudes at the beginning of the school year. We are ready to build a legacy of greatness for each student. As we begin getting into classwork, please set aside time each evening for you and your child to discuss their academics, complete homework, and talk about their day. Even though our kids like to think they are grown, they still need the adults in their lives’ to create structure.
Below are some important reminders:
- Please contact us if your child is late or absent so that we can mark their attendance accurately. You have 3 days to get in parent or doctor notes.
- The driveway around the FAC is off limits to car drop off and pick up before and after school. This lane is reserved for busses. Please use the curb in front of the FAC for car drop off and pick-up.
- If you or someone you know are not receiving school emails or voice messages, please contact the school office with updated information.
