6. / Description of content:This regulation replaces the Chairman of NADFC Regulation, NumberHK.00.05.42.4040 Year 2006 concerning Food Category. There are 16 food categories (which are divided based on their characteristics), i.e.:
1.  Dairy products and analogues, excluding products of food category number 2
2.  Fats and oils, and fat emulsions
3.  Edible ice, including sherbet and sorbet
4.  Fruits and vegetables (including mushrooms and fungi, roots and tubers, pulses and legumes, and aloe vera), seaweeds, and nuts and seeds
5.  Confectionery
6.  Cereals and cereal products, derived from cereal grains, from roots and tubers, pulses, legumes and pith or soft core of palm tree, excluding bakery wares of food category number 7
7.  Bakery wares
8.  Meat and meat products, including poultry and game
9.  Fish and fish products, including molluscs, crustaceans, and echinoderms
10.  Egg and egg products
11.  Sweeteners, including honey
12.  Salts, spices, soups, sauces, salads and protein products
13.  Foodstuffs intended for particular nutritional uses
14.  Beverages, excluding dairy products
15.  Ready-to-eat savouries
16.  Prepared foods
(This category refers to the General Standard for Food Additives Codex Stan 192-1995, last revision in 2014)
Any food which is not included in the above categories, will be determined by the written consent of the Chairman of NADFC.
Annexes I to Annexes XVI Regulation of the Chairman of NADFC RI No. 1 Year 2015 establishes the definition and characteristic of each category.
As Mexico requested, Tequila is defined as a Mexican alcoholic beverage produced from the heart of the Agave tequilana Weber blue variety, cultivated within the limits of the territory established by the Declaration for the Protection of the Appellation of Origin of Tequila and which specification regarding raw materials, production process, physical-chemical specifications and judicial requirements in line with the Mexican Technical Regulation.
