1.1 / Permanent Boiler at Pool / Harper/Marelich In-Progress of Installation
·  December 31, 2009 was projected completion of work. However, this project is ahead of schedule and projected to be 100% complete by week of November 23, 2009.
1.2 / Central Plant Access Road Re-alignment / Project Status:
·  New plans are 100% completed by Chevron’s engineering consultant TMAD.
·  CPM prepared independent estimate and held meeting with Chevron on 11/18/09 to review; Chevron to revisit their cost and return Monday, 11/23/09 at 9:00 am to resolve the proposed utilities cost.
·  Start of construction for Road Alignment projected to start Monday 11/30/09 with completion by Mid-December 2009, CPM to verify.

·  Construction 99% complete
·  Building Commissioning 98% Complete; will continue into December 2009 for final completion

Athletic Field House: DSA Certification in process
Stadium: DSA Certification in process
SSB: Schedule Final Commissioning in December 2009 for obtaining LEED points with USGBC. DSA certification in process.
Campus Corner Sign: DSA Certification in process

2.7 / Campus-Wide Technology / Status:
·  CPM holding bi-weekly meetings on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with Vibha Gupta & IT staff to review campus-wide technology items and required action items.
·  Design-Build As-Builts projected to be updated, verified by 12/31/09.
·  CPM to hold As-Built review meeting with Harper/Design Team on Tuesday, 11/24/09 – Time to be confirmed (9:00 am)

·  Construction: 99% complete
·  Contractor to install Closers on three Gates

Middle College High School / Project Status:
·  Design Coordination Meetings on alternate Fridays at 10:30 with Bernards/HMC Architects and College representatives (Admin./Plant Facilities/IT)
·  Weekly Coordination Meetings held with LAUSD Project Manager Richard Luke and CPM Team Leader George Snead & CPM PM Rinaldo Veseliza.

2.11 / Site Improvements – Campus East Pump House & Fire Water Upgrade
Details:

2. Contract Price: $2,620,900
3. CPM PM/CM: Vera Rangel
4. Owner’s Construction Contingency of 10% is $262,090. This figure cannot be exceeded by the CPM. Owner Change Orders will need to be held to this amount. CPM allowed up to 3%; BuildLACCD allowed up to 4.99%, District/Larry Eisenberg allowed 5%-10%. / Project Status:
·  Board Approval: 11/18/09 (revised from 10/07/09)

·  CPM and Pacifica/Chevron weekly coordination meetings are held on Wednesday 10:00 am at CPM Trailer Conference Room.
·  Parking Lot #3 Construction: 90%
·  Proposed Substantial Completion of Lot #3 - 12/31/09; Final Completion 01/30/10
·  Pacifica Services Inc. (PSI) PM - Alexander Main
·  CPM request College to review Parking Lot #3 Parking Stall Stripping layout by Chevron
·  Handicapped parking spaces delineated on Fremier Architect’s Site Plan for Parking Lot #3 to be in compliance with ADA per review by David Converse. Require College feedback to inform PSI/Chevron – George Snead discuss.
2.13 / Chevron’s Demand Side Management (DSM) Contract Work / Progress:
·  Chevron submitted Draft DSM Matrix Chart to CPM in August 2009
·  Blair Doane/District Energy Team reviewing DSM document for further disposition and coordination with CPM.

·  DB-2: 5 Building Bundle (Mods): Cox Bldg/Little Theater + Lecture Lab + Fitness & Wellness Center & Pool Cover and DB East Parking Structure (650 Cars) + Option A Storm Water Improvements with 5 yr Extended Warranty
·  RFP Shortlist includes: McCarthy Builders/LPA, Hensel Phelps/Carrier Johnson, Charles Pankow Builders/Quatro Design Group
2.15 / SSEC Building Renovation Project
Details:
1. Design Phase Complete: 60% / Design Phase Update:
·  50% CD submission is currently being reviewed by DSA, CPM, BuildLACCD, and the College
·  CPM continuing coordination with RAW International Design Team for connection to Central Plant, upgrade to Technology systems, HVAC systems, Electrical systems, and EMS Systems per District/College Standards.
2.16 / Campus-wide Reclaimed Water
Note:
CPM is still involved with the proposal phase. / College Selection of Design Professional – in Proposal
·  CPM has obtained the names of four companies qualified for performing the design/engineering services that would implement the reclaim water for irrigation of all campus landscaping, except for the CDC area:

·  Kennedy Jenks (Waiting on Response)
·  RMC Engineering (Waiting on Response)

2.17 / Technology Education Center Upgrade / Project Status:
·  CPM obtained A/E fee Proposal from TMAD (with gkkworks as Architect consultant) for connecting this building to Central Plant and removal of the existing roll-up doors as requested by the College.
·  Design is in progress
·  CPM Project Manager is Gustavo Ripalda
2.18 / 5kv Electrical Site Survey Investigation / Project Status Update:
·  Final deliverables received; CPM issue copy to College today.
2.19 / ADA Campus-wide Improvements / Project Status:
·  Fremer Architects is design consultant. Final contract negotiations are underway.
·  Site Assessments of newly completed buildings by David Converse is on-going
·  CPM confirmed Measure J ADA Compliance Budget available is $5.417 Million
·  Campus-wide parking studies have been completed.
·  Parking Lot 3 striping plan was given to Chevron on 11/3/09.
