Purpose of the role:

The Digital Campaigns Executive will play a key role in the delivery of Tourism Ireland’s digital marketing programme. The jobholder will be pivotal in developing cross-market understanding and campaign activity while owning important marketing processes such as social media, content marketing and paid search. Digital marketing is a significant part of Tourism Ireland’s overall engagement marketing strategy. The strategy connects brand awareness with consumer interactions to support tourism growth to the island of Ireland.

Campaign Alignment

In conjunction with the Digital Campaigns Manager:

  1. Partner with market managers and digital marketing staff to identify, plan and implement upcoming digital campaign requirements.
  2. Represent market priorities in an account management style with the Marketing Platforms team and identify future platform developments consistent with these priorities.
  3. Conduct a programme of communication with market teams consisting of market visits, one-to-one and conference calls, webinars, relevant content and events.
  4. Coordinate campaign work-streams within the Customer Engagement & E-marketing team and ensure delivery.
  5. Represent CEEM on the Always On Group and allocate and manage work-streams arising from Always On projects

Social Media

  1. Lead social media for Tourism Ireland by implementing the social media strategy in conjunction with suppliers and markets.

Digital Marketing Processes

(Supported by a graduate team member)

  1. Manage Tourism Ireland’s paid search activity with our supplier and market colleagues to ensure cost effective acquisition of high quality search traffic.
  2. Manage and optimise the content marketing process of content development, localisation, advertising planning, and reporting in conjunction with suppliers, and market colleagues.
  3. Contribute towards the Department’s SEO programme in conjunction with the Technology Lead – Ireland.com

E-Marketing Innovation

  1. Research digital marketing innovations, advocate and communicate these where relevant across the organisation.
  2. Lead pilot projects for digital marketing innovations in conjunction with market offices and other departments.

General Support

  1. Promote and support digital best practice through coaching, development of shared learning programmes and maintenance of forums for digital marketing knowledge.
  2. Prepare and disseminate departmental reports.
  3. Prepare and deliver e-marketing presentations in conjunction with colleagues.
  4. Such other duties as the company may from time to time reasonably require.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills, experience and competencies.

Essential

  • Relevant experience of social media marketing, paid search and content management processes.
  • Knowledge of and interest in e-marketing and web innovations.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent team working skills with an ability to work with people of all levels both within the organisation and externally.
  • Demonstrates a positive and flexible attitude to change.
  • Possesses good analytical skills with an ability to provide insights and develop solutions.

Desirable

  • Degree or similar qualification in Business, Marketing Multimedia or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of the island of Ireland’s tourism product and industry
