Ian Daniels had advised that he would arrange for speed monitoring and would then consider what action was necessary

3.2 re 3.2flashing speed signs

Aberdeenshire Council have offered £500 of financial assistance, as a result of this the remaining £3,500.00 has been approved by the wind turbine group

Glen to progress with Roads DeptGlen

3.3 re 3.3Foveran Church Hall D/O Application and Goals application

Both approved and William and Katrin signed the acceptance forms

3.4 re 3.5 Signage for Seals at Newburgh

Isobel Davidson was taking forward regarding both roadside sign and interpretative signage

Rob Merson had e mailed correspondence regarding the 63 busses. Gillian advised she understood the traffic commissioner was concerned regarding the suitability of the busses for disabled and infirm

5.0 Udny Station Dispensing Facilities

William thanked Brian for attending, and advised that it had been announced that Grampian health Board were reviewing the dispensing facilities at various doctors surgeries and that the surgery at Udny Station may be affected, and there was concern that if it had to stop dispensing, the surgery may close

There was a 90 day consultation period which expired in August

William had written to the CEO of the Health Board and Gillian Martin MSP, with no response from either

It was agreed that jointly William and Brian, in consultation with the doctors, establish those with “special difficulties” on the register of over 1700 and formally object to the proposal

William and Brian were meeting with the surgery on Thursday 23 June

7.1SpaldingBridge and old pavilion

An update on timescale for demolition of the bridge and pavilion would be appreciated if possible from Aberdeenshire Council

7.2 AWPR Traffic

There were continuing complaints regarding construction vehicles for the AWPR passing through Newburgh. Glen had invited a representative to the meeting but had received no response

all we can do is to continue to complain to John Wilson

7.3 Damage to road Newburgh / Fountainblue

Any damage to be reported to Ian Daniels

7.4 Dog Waste bins not being emptied

There was a waste bin that had not been emptied for weeks, the gardening group had complained to the office at Ellon, Glen had e mailed via fix my street

Pauline advised she understood it had been emptied on the 21st June

7.5 Overhanging Branches

Pauline commented on overhanging branches from house currently unoccupied on Merlin terrace

Branches could be cut back, however the cut branches must be put in the garden of the property

7.6 Newburgh Inn

The comfort sign has been erected

7.7 Water Trough

There was concern about possible damage to the water trough at the corner of Main St and Knockhall Road when the Church hall wall is removed as part of the planning approval for Scotia’s new houses

There was a group considering additional car parking beside the Hall, and were in contact with Formartine Partnership regarding accessing funds

8.1Bridge of Don Thistle Juniors have changed their name to Newburgh Thistle Juniors

8.2 Newburgh Amateurs won the Amateur Cup Final

8.3 Ian Alexander and Ed Rennie have been invited to HollyroodGarden party in recognition of the work done to establish the Gallowshill facility

8.4A cheque issued by the wind turbine group in favour of Foveran hall to erect storage had not been cashed. Janet will look into
